A Visit of a Lifetime - Santorini Day 1

It was the day - 6 September 2013. Grabbed my ass to Singapore to meet Her and journey began.
We flew to Istanbul first. It was a 11 hours flight and I found out my feet was swollen. Possibly caused by sitting too long and started numb! We reached in the morning at 7am, Turkey time zone.
Started a day with coffee. I could say I started the day but she sipped a lil bit then dozed off. Opsss.
After spending half a day waiting for transit, this was my plane to Athens. Hi Athens, we were coming to you. Hmmm, we needed to wait for bus transfer to pick us up after alighted from plane. Athens airport has merely low traffics. People perhaps do not wish to come over here.
It was 8pm in the evening, we grounded safely on Santorini. Phewww.... Finally, grabbed our Light-green Manual Nissan Micra and drove to our hotel at Kamari.
I could call myself genius! Everything left handed, steering, gear, road, OMG! I was totally out of control and the road was without any lights. We could just trying to search the direction from the tiny mini map and eventually we LOST. No choice but to ask the local on the direction and with some hit and miss, we managed to reach safely to Akis Hotel.
This picture was taken on the next morning. We had our rather huge dinner at along the Kamari beach. Lotsa restaurants, shops and it was quite happening actually. Sadly, we couldn't walk too much and gave up. Whole day flying time really exhausted. We headed by to hotel and had a great rest.
Good Morning, Day 1 in Santorini, Kamari. Simple hotel breakfast kicked start our long day. We were excited with the schedule ahead.
2 Minutes walking distance to Kamari Beach. It is way to near to it.

Sand is fine, water is blue and view is spectacular. We were stunned and WOW for a minutes. Love it.
Face expression showed how much she likes the place. LOL. We just couldn't stop snapping pictures.

Souvenir hunting at Kamari Beach. We decided to grab a lil bit of it from here. Very kiasu deed actually because we scared the price is different compared to others. Nice Blue Church souvenir!

On the way to Perrisa Beach. Actually need to go over a hill to reach the beach. We spotted awesome view and stopped for some pictures.

Reached Perissa Beach. Slightly different beach with coarse sand and less crowded place. People enjoying sun bathing but we were trying to hide everytime.

Shaded under the so called 'umbrella'. Ended up being asked to leave. Not actually, it was being told that it needed 5 Euro for the spot. Come on, we ordered coffee already!

We headed toward Akrotiri after the beach. It was a the other end of the island. On the way we stopped by the so-called Never Missed Spot - Caldera. People are enjoying some light bites and looking at the calm blue sea.

We were busy taking pictures. It is actually a spot for sunset.

Our little light green Micra for our Santorini ride.

Spotted some white house with blue sea view. This is what we wish to see after all.

Can't deny that my hairstyle was terrible. I had to blame the strong breeze caused it. Not my fault ok? LOL

Historical town at Akrotiri. It was 10 Euro per entry. Well preserved actually. People was staying there last time until volcano / earthquake stroke. White beach and red beach are just nearby but we didn't really go to it. We assumed all are same.

She said : Big Eye Michael must witness the view! There it is. Doink!

About to reach the lighthouse spot - For the awesome Sunset view.

After waiting for hours (5pm till 7pm), we managed to escape from very strong and cold breeze. This was what we got after all!

The sunset was too fast and my plan was screwed. Plan B initiated and hey, I did it! Actually there was no Plan B. By luck, she said Yes.
Drove back to Fira for check in to Hotel Villa Soula. Saw this grill kiosk and the price looked reasonable.

Night walk at Fira. Beautiful lights from all the houses lights up the night.

She was asking for Greek yoghurt. It was alright for me, not so keen on it.

Day 1 wrapped up with stroll around Fira town and sleep soundly.

'Wake me up when September ends'

Time passed....
Stepping into September 2012, time to update for the half year review!

What happened actually previous months ago? Yes. I resigned from the Senior Application Specialist position. Although it merely last about half a year there, I have learned plenty of sales experience. My superior, Melinda is a very kind heart-ed manager and considerate as well. It was my pleasure to work under her. That is why I stayed for a month more just to settle everything on hand and made a good handover to her. Believe me 'You will be treated good if you treat people true from bottom of heart'!

I started my new job with a rather pay-hike. Everything seems good and the bosses are nice to me as well. It is always difficult to start again with zero knowledge bout the industry. Thank god, I'm survived once again. At this period of time, I didn't feel any unsettles and I guess I have found a shelter which can accommodate my heart and soul. Keep it on. Everything is on track.

Relationship wise, everything is smooth. Ups and downs make our bond even stronger. I do appreciate her every moment of life. Friends? I missed out a lot updates about friends, especially my form 6 friends. How are you all? Hope you all are great too.

Signing off...

First Post in Year 2012

February 15, just passed the V-day which people shared their love over the Facebook's wall. Flowers, gifts, dining places were posted. Just a lil bit envy actually.

What happened in the previous months?

1. I setup my company at December 2011. Officially owns a company which is without office- merely just the name.
2. I become the owner and there are plenty of obstacles which I never ever met before. Difficulties make me grows up.
3. I almost relocated to JB. Long story actually but I'm good I still in KL right now.
4. My car was towed because I dragged the installment. Yes, I know I'm poor. But actually I didn't pay loan in time and the bank couldn't get to me. I realized I submitted Singapore's number which was not active anymore last time.
5. I admit I quite miss home. I wish to talk to my mum everyday, although she doesn't really know what happens to me but at least she knows she has a companion.
6. I changed my tyres. It costs me Rm1.5k included the routine services. If got choice, please get rid of second hand car. Pray hard that my car will run in good condition and prove to me the tyres are worth to change.
7. I grabbed my first share-HSPlant. Well, finally I bought one lot after some time. More to come in future!

Cheers!

Another Big leap

I want to see the progression.

How is it already? Great. At least there is something out now. Better than none.

I will continue with it, maybe someday I will achieve what I want too. Who knows?

Everything according to plan right now. Give it a best shot, peeps!

How you think bout the Budget 2012?

Well,

The announcement of budget 2012 had finally ended.
What has surprised us? Guess?
  1. The incentive-RM500 for those family who earns less than 3k per month?
  2. The incentive-RM200 for those undergraduate, matriculation, or even postgraduate -so called use it for books.
  3. Increase of EPF from employer side from 12% to 13%?
  4. Or increase of the 1 Msia housing plan from 220k to 400k houses?
  5. The usual increment for the government servants? and even parliament members?
  6. Dragged the age of retirement to 60?
I couldn't remember exactly what else he mentioned on that day.
Coz I also not really interested actually. For example the 1. regarding the RM500 for those 3k income and below. Come on, you still need us to fill up your damn thick forms just to get your RM500? If you really sincere to give, please, give it in open-armed. As least like last time, we can claim it from post office by showing our mycard. You need our details actually, who doesn't know?

EPF increases from 12% to 13%? Come on, for those are receiving more than 16%? How? no effect also? Please, just say increase 1% EPF from the current EPF rate. Then all gets their part right? I could still remembered, the whole process was quiet inside the parliament until he announced adjustment of salary and bonus for government servants, those people clapping their hands. Full of joy, energetic as well. WTH actually. Please react in a proper way.

Come on. Government. We wish to see some changes. Where is it?

Share Market

There was pretty upside down just few weeks back. It dropped until 1250 I guess..Around that range. We noticed quite a number of blue chip collapsed. I mean just shaky at that moment. Such as Maybank, Cimb, KLK, PPB, and even GAB.

Too bad. Everybody scares that time, they pulled themselves out from the market. And everyone predicts the Euro debt can't be settled and the bear market comes. But eventually, it just popped and raised again. The bear didn't appear, and now, the market goes up to 1450 today. WTH.
I missed it. Why i missed? Coz my account hasn't ready by that time. I couldn't manage to grab those good share (TSH, QL, GAB).

GAB raised from 9.8 till today 10.40. Bladdy shit man. 60 cents in 2 weeks time. WTF. My friend yelled when he noticed Airasia raised 40 cents too. Haha.. Really damn it! I will continue my study and wait another chance probably. Grab one or two good shares at least!

The Person who Earns Tribute from ALL

The day, we need to be silence for paying some respects and tribute to our former Apple Inc. CEO Mr. Steve Jobs who passed away last night. News come from around the world, he left us behind with some awesome technologies. He built up the Apple's era. He is the man.

I still remember his awesome speech last time when he spoke on the ipod launching day in almost ten years back. He mentioned Apple vision is to create something that people won't need it now but they will catch up the trend in future. He created ipod which was a terrific selling gadget that time.

There he goes, Apple Iphone. The most popular smart phone at that time, we brought us surprise everytime he stepped on the stage to announce the new iphone launched. Apple fans all around the world will queue up just to grab the gadget. You cannot deny the influential of this person, he did make an awesome contribution to the technology world.

He managed to lift Apple to one of the most successful companies in the world right now. The real obstacle in his life is not the business, nor the emerging of google andriod system. But sadly, his health was the hindrance of his life. He stepped down from the CEO position, passed the baton to his assistant Mr. Cook.

Today, he left us. But his spirit and passion are still with us. Apple products are still great, people will remember you. Your awesome creation.

Budget 2012 Coming Soon

This Friday will be the Budget 2012 announcement. As a citizen of Malaysia, I think we should follow the heat of this. At least, for those who are still very darn free like me, go to have a look at what is our Prime Minister major plan in 2012.

But anyway, mostly will be those raise in taxes of tobaccos and stuffs like that. None other than that, even they predict that there will be some adjustment in income tax. Let us have a look then.
Educations, health care and infrastructure will be the main focus points again.

Alright, see what will happen then. Even stock market will be affected because of the announcement? I guess it's just a minor shaky. It doesn't really affect much!

Ok. Update the news after Friday.

Airasia Fever Again

Today I came across with this advertisement, is time to check for cheap ticket again. I guess plenty of people are looking forward for a vacation somewhere next year too. AA does a very good marketing technique in this. They can earn the money first for investment and draw all people attention in Malaysia for sure.

Guess tonight will be the 'Waiting Room' webpage again. *Rolling Eyeballs*

Money is Roots of all Evils

When I came across this news in SINCHEW newspaper early in the morning, it was quite interesting actually. It did give a rather clear picture about the people's desire craving for wealth. Money is not enough even for those who are god damn rich. Human wouldn't satisfy with what they own. They will go for more.

No doubt I crave for money as well. I guess everyone does. But I guess at least we have some limitation at the back of our mind, something we can't go until that extreme. Beyond our will. Like the news, if the lady satisfied with what she got, she could have a very great life ahead but now ended up spending time in prison. What for? If she could have stop after getting the 1 million. Sigh! Pity her and pity the guy too.

Holiday weeks arrived

We will be going in to one week Raya break. Everyone is heading back to hometown, even Chinese friends do so. Take a break after long working weeks. No doubt the Plus Highways will be damn hectic jam today and tomorrow.

Where should I go? I'm still in KL for few days. All my friends are not around during the weekend, guess I have to spend my time in front of my lappie and surf net only. It's been quite sometime I never update my blog. How am I recently? So far still alright. Life in Malaysia does has it's color, at least more friends around but I still dun really like the feeling that there are still plenty uncivilized individual here. Accept the fact kean kee, you are the citizen of this country.

My career not as smooth as what I expected after I resigned from my previous company in Singapore. The job scopes are out of my prediction, I have to handle a lot of unexpected stuffs. Well, that's called LIFE! If I don't like, I can click Jobstreet and search for another job too.

Well, today I tried to scrolled my handset's contacts. Just to get someone who is staying in KL to spend time with. But, too bad. I really have less friends only. I guess I have to enlarge my social circle already. At least I have someone to accompany during this kind of time.

Terrible Week

The time I started my current job, there comes my nightmare. Just before the job really started, I did wish to kick start my new job with the positive attitude. I thought it is a rather good job for me after switching back to KL.

The Monday began with the induction program held by HR and different department heads. It was pretty smooth but after that the whole week was just merely sat in front of the books and read only.

When the 2nd week started, my nightmare started as well. Night time installation of machine, the first night I worked till 2am. It was pretty tired since I have no experience in those technical stuffs, therefore, I just assisted at the side. But, it was very tiring too. After that, 3 continuous night installation that killed me the most. Hardly to rest enough and working at midnight was damn torturing. I wish to quit at that moment. It is too unbearable for me. Technical skills can't be learnt in days. Experience does talk. How to I really cope with this new thing? I never ever think of being a technician in my whole life. Now I have to learn the thing from zero. It is really a big step for me!

I want to resign everyday when I wake up. But, I know I can't be jobless since my saving is running out now. What to do? Keep suffering and try to get a new job for myself.

The nightmare will continue next week. I will be following the technician for whole week long. Sweating and hard work can't be skipped. Pray hard for myself and keep the days on.

Love myself!

Mixed Feeling

When I packed all my luggage and boarded a cab from my current house, there was a unusual feeling arises down to the bottom of my heart. I told myself 'I'm going to leave here already!' It seemed I couldn't really accept the fact, I'm going to leave this city. Oh No!

When I stepped on the bus, I knew it is going back to Ipoh. The place I belonged. Last time I felt excited to meet my family and friends there but now it was a darn mixed feeling. I have to shift everything back to here and start all over again. Thanks god!

18th July will be another starting date of my new working life. Be with it, cheers! I'm going to make it for sure.

Miss you dear. Miss all my friends in Sg as well. Bye.

The Day I Resigned

When the day comes, I told myself to be steady.
Thing has changed, I have to seek for different way out.
I wouldn't know the step I have taken will turn up to be the good choice but at least, I tried.
Give me full of strength and support for the choice I have made.

Counting days...
I will miss Singapore for sure.
I will miss my gf here at most.
Why? I thought I will stay until the day she quits.
It's really a tough decision.

No regrets, No turning back!
Move forward with all the strength and heart.

What A Day!

Last Saturday I went to KL to watch Jolin's concert. It supposed to be quite exciting and looking forward to that moment since this was the first time I went to concert. It ended up with the damn hectic jam at the custom. Ever since the implementation of the thumb printing system at the immigration counters, the jam has became ever worse. I mean far even WORSE.

The long queue of vehicles, stranded at the bridge for few hours really caused us especially Malaysian extremely pissed off. We can pass through the custom via the automated gate, that means it takes around 5-10mins time to get through only. But we have to jam with there as well just to wait for the other foreigners or those with white card to get the stamping at the counter. I wonder do the officers really know the consequences before this implementation being executed.

I think they will only start to think for the alternatives when the problems arise. I have no question if they want to further enforce the immigration rules to tackle any intruders but it supposes to have a rather good planning first and at least get rid of those unwanted circumstances from happening like now.

It causes me more than 3 hours to pass through the custom and 4 hours + journey back to KL. Luckily I still managed to go for the concert. If not, I will throw my F words. Back to the concert, it was nice. Yes. Jolin is great, very good dancer and overall was nice! But the drawbacks were the stadium that couldn't really create the HIGH feeling. Maybe my seat was too damn far away. For the whole concert, I was watching on the projector screen only. WTF.

Looking forward to another concert, perhaps Eason Chan?

2 Days 1 Nite Melaka Trip

On the 23rd April, this was the first time we have outing since we left our Uni life. Although just 5 of us ( Me, Yan, Kemei, Guanyi, and Psan), but it was fun in the end. I remember we left for KL in the early morning, but reached around 2pm. We had our breakfast at somewhere near Sheau Wei's there, of course with SW as well. We planned to rule her join our trip at the moment but failed.

The journey began....
Please spot for GY and Kemei there. They were lining up for the chicken rice while we were waiting at somewhere cool. It was damn hot that day.
The first meal after all. Not very nice but because of the popularity, we ate. Just ordinary chicken, but people go for the rice ball probably.
The Sam Sok Gong's cendol. Nice packaging but normal cendol. It didn't surprise us and the price is RM5 some more. It comes with durian taste (which taste like dodol) and the gula melaka authentic flavour.

This is the only picture we were able to snap in whole group. It's nice anyway although bit shaky and didn't really focus well. Haha. Kinda particular! But anyway, thanks to the tourist who snapped for us.
The must-go satay celup in Malacca. It was so crowded and we had to wait for quite long time to get a table. This picture is funny. Kemei was eating the Kangkung if i'm not mistaken and I quickly snapped it. Great!
The Jonker Street. It seems everyone was tired at that moment, waiting for shower. We just walked a while after the satay celup meal.
The next morning laksa and cendol were the best after all. You can see my gf's face quite happy right? Haha. Guanyi dropped his chopsticks few times when he helped us to take this picture. Guanyi, still the same. Haha...

After all, we went back to SG from Malacca and we were so rushed that time. Great weekend, and great spending time with friends again!

Arthur - Great!

This movie is great! Really laughed out my lungs and made my day after working on Friday. I know him as Katy Perry's husband, that's all! He has a splendid performance in this movie. Highly recommended movie after all, at least from me!

Grab a drink and watch it with your love one. It cheers you both!
